In Principio

This design is another in our series of designs inspired by medieval Celtic illuminated manuscripts such as books of hours, the Book of Kells and the Lindisfarne gospels. The translation of the text is, "In the beginning God created heaven and earth". As with many of the designs in our Celtic series, In Principio uses only whole stitches. The colour palette is the same as the other designs in the series and, as with the others, it is available as a chart only or as full kit with parchment coloured 14 count aida. (18 count fabric can be supplied on request). The size of the finished design is approximately 14.5 cm x 20 cm on 14 hpi fabric.
